Brass charms are a wonderful embellishment additon to any of your artwork, scrap books, altered books, cards, dolls, etc.
If you wish to add color, you can use Staz-On or any other ink for non-porous surfaces.
Charms are ordered directly from manufacturer (no middleman)  so I am able to offer brass charms at affordable prices.  However, the mfg. did have a price increase Jan. 2006 and since that time metals prices seem to keep rising and  the mfg's. have been adding an additional surcharge to the price so these prices are subject to change.
You might wonder why some charms can be considerably more in price than others.  I did too, so I asked the mfg.  They said the less expensive charms just go thru one process to make them, whereas some other charms may go thru 3 or 4 steps in the mfg process therefore increasing the price.  They are beautiful though and make a wonderful statement on your art project.

I covered an old piece of jewelry with Graphics 45 paper and then added the fleur de lis charm to it.  I painted the little band around the fleur de lis with a black Sharpie pen.
I preserved this little piece by adding it to a 9 panel art tile board.  There is a picture of it at the bottom of this page.

Brass Charm Pictures are not actual size- to get accurate size, read measurements.

fleurdlisuse.jpg

Brass Fleur de Lis Charms~ This timeless favorite is thought to have been inspired by the beautiful Iris flower.  It measures approx. 13/16" wide and approx. 1 1/16" tall including ring.  See the little band around the center that looks like it holds them together?-try coloring it with Sharpies or other ink for non-poruous surfaces.  Pkg. 6.
$0.95

arrow2use.jpg

Funky Fun Arrow~ This is a playful, fun and funky arrow.  It measures approx. 1 1/4" long and approx. almost 1/2" at its widest on the arrow tip.  It also has a pre-drilled hole so that you can hang from your project, book, card, etc.  The arrow points to the right, and it does have a bit of a bow to it but with a little pressure it will lie flat if that is the look you want.  Pkg. 5. (CHeck out the sample of this cool arrow below and the different look you can achieve with Ranger Black & White Enamel Accents)
$0.69

brheartuse.jpg

Brass Engraved Heart Charm~ This is such a classy looking heart.  I love the different shape to it also.  It measures approx. 11/16" wide and approx. 1 1/8" high.  The embossing is slightly raised and compliments the same embossing on the keyhole charm and engraved photo anchors.  It also has a small hole on the top of the left side or higher side of the heart.  You could also reverse it to the back side which is mostly plain but it also has an interesting look to it because of the embossing on the front side so you can choose which side to use.  Pkg. 8
$1.69

heart2use.jpg

Hammered Heart Brass Charm~ This wonderfully textured charm measures approx. 1/2" wide and approx. 9/16" from top of ring to bottom of heart.  Great for Valentines Day, scrapbooks, cards, dolls and more.  Pkg. 6
$0.79

clockuse.jpg

Brass Clock Charm~ It's "TIME" to create!  This is a playful charm you can use in so many sayings on your cards, scrapbooks, altered art, etc.  It measures approx. 5/8" in diameter.  You can adhere using a small brad, ribbon, string, etc. thru the small ring or snip the ring off and adhere with your favorite adhesive.  Pkg. 6
$1.35

bingouse.jpg

Bingo Card Brass Charm~ Not just for the bingo enthusiast out there.  Much of the ephemera today deals with games so this bingo card will fit right in.  Use it with the Vintage Games Dimensional Ephemera.   It measures approx. 3/4" from top of ring to bottom and approx. 1/2" wide.  Flat, not bulky.  Pkg. 6
$0.85

Vintage Games & other Dimensional Ephemera can be found here

badgeuse.jpg

Badge Brass Charm~  I hesitate to call it a police badge, although it does say "Police Dept." on it.  I was thinking more of an art police badge, altered book police badge, collage police, etc.  I think you can have some fun with this one.  It measures approx. 11/16" from top of ring to bottom and approx. 3/8" wide.  Not bulky so will fit nicely on scrapbook pages or cards for mailing.  Pkg. 6
$0.60

handsuse.jpg

Hand Charm Embellishment~ Give yourself a hand!  (I couldn't help myself on that one).  I am not sure  what the base metal is on this charm, it could be brass or nickel.  Mottled antique pewter look finish.  It measures approx. 1" from the wrist to the top of the ring and approx. 3/4" wide.  Use on your cards, scrapbooks, polymer clay or fabric dolls, quilts, etc.   Pkg. 4
$1.45 OUT OF STOCK

chrm2ba.jpg

Band-Aid Brass Charm~ Too cute.  Use in your scrapbooks   when an  "owie" has ocurred.  Adhere it over an art goof on your cards, etc..  You can have a lot of fun with this charm.  Measures approx. 7/8" long and 3/16" wide.  Pkg. of 6.
$0.65

moonfaceuse.jpg

Small Brass Moon Face Charm~ This is one of my favorite charms.  I love the detail in the face.  It measures approx. 3/8" in diameter.  I like to use it in polymer clay as a goddess face.  Great for cards, scrapbooks, etc.  Pkg. 6
$0.75

p3070027use.jpg

This is probably one of my all time favorite charms- the little moon face.  He just seems to be timeless.  I added him to an alcohol inked domino and then added the old jewelry piece over him to frame it.
This is another example of how you can take a very small embellishment or charm and give it some presence and punch by combining it with something else.

brwingsuse.jpg

Fancy Brass Wings~ This charm measures approx. 1 1/*' wide and approx. 3/4" high.  There is a lot of detail on the wing part.  Looks great behind the small dominos we offer.  For all those "wings & things"  projects, these will be a wonderful embellishment.  Pkg. 6
$0.85

p3070026use.jpg

This piece was made using an old jewelry piece and adding the brass wings and the moon face using Ranger Glossy Accents as the glue.  It was then incorporated into a home decor piece on an art tile board-picture shown at the bottom of this page.
The color didn't come out good on this piece, sometimes the metals and layered pieces are hard for me to get quite right so it just doesn't do it justice.

swirlyuse.jpg

"Curly" Brass Charm~ I really think this one could be a lot of fun!  When I saw it, my mind pictured it as a decorative feature on the side of a box.  The curled part is large enough to be able to run cording or ribbon through so I also pictured several on a book or page with ribbon curling around them.  How about a nice 70's styl flip hairdo for your doll.  It has a ring on the top but can easily be snipped off with our button shank nippers if you wish.  It measures almost 1 1/4 long and approx. 3/16" at its widest point on the curl.  Pkg. 6.
$1.25

snddlruse.jpg

Brass Sand Dollar Charm~ This is a petite little charm measuring approx. 3/8" in diameter.  it comes with a ring at the top, but is easily removed with button shank nippers.  It has the sand dollar form set into the brass and the charm itself is rounded- not flat.  It also comes with 3 hole on 3 sides of the charm.  They add a lot of interest to the charm.  You could also use the charm and hang something from the holes, small seed beads, etc. for a different look.  Pkg. 6
$0.85

loopuse.jpg

Brass Threader Charm~ My first thought is to call it a door knocker, but it would limit your ideas on it.  I see it more as an embellishment you can add with a brad or adhesive and thread chain, cord, lace, ribbon, etc. through.  The open ring part is stable and does not move.  You could go with the door knocker idea and if you have a door rubber stamp or some cool collages of doors and add it to that would be a unique look.  As with all the charms, check out the measurements because I have yet to master the art of adding things online as to their exact size-hence the measurements for everything.  This one measures 5/8" high and approx. 7/16" wide.  Pkg of 4 charms.
$0.59

spnruse.jpg

Arrow/Spinner~ This can be used a number of ways.  Use it as a movable arrow or spinner.  Insert a brad in the opening (not to tight) and then it will spin.  This arrow/spinner measures approx. 3/4" long and approx. 3/16" at its widest at the ring.  Pkg. 12.
$1.69

ckhandsuse.jpg

Brass Clock Hands Charm~ Since time seems to run our lives, it will, of course, be tangled in with our cards, scrapbooks, etc.  This brass charm measures aprox. 1" across from the tip of one hand to the other.  You can secure it with a brad for a fun and movable look.  Try it as a spinner too.  Pkg. 6.
$0.99

arrwuse.jpg

Brass Arrow Charm~ Some charms I classify as fun and this is one of them.  You can highlight certain parts of your artwork or rubber stamps with this brass arrow charm.  Many possibilities.  This charm measures approx. almost 5/8" long and approx. 3/16" at its widest.  Pkg. 12.
$1.15

kh2use.jpg

Brass Keyhole Charm~ This keyhole charm is beautifully embossed.  I love the design it has.  It is a flat charm and can be attached using the charm ring, adhere it with glue or you can  use small brads to attach it.  Very versatile.  It measures approx. 13/16" high including ring and measures approx. 9/16" wide.  You can try highlighting the design by applying Staz-On inks and rub off excess leaving the ink in the recess of the design.   Pkg. of 8 brass charms.
$1.69

pawuse.jpg

Brass Paw Charm~ Talk to the Paw!!  Just too cute.  It measures 7/16" from top of ring to bottom and approx. 3/8" wide.  The paw areas are recessed so you could add some color in there too with colored Crystal Lacquer or try a little dab of acrylic paint.  Not bulky.  Pkg. 4.
$0.39

skluse.jpg

Scary Skull & Cross Bones Brass Charm~ This is a small charm and not really bulky.  It measures approx. 3/8" high from top of ring to bottom and approx. 3/8" at is widest point.  To add to its scariness the eyes are cut out.  Spooky!  Could also be used as a "Caution"  warning.  It is shown at the bottom of the skull keychain pictured to the right.  Pkg. 8
$0.75

Treasure Box by Corrine

I found a small old cedar box at a 2nd hand store and used black acrylic paint, gold paint accents and Scrabble pieces, rhinestone trim and an assortment of brass charms (some you can't see that are on the sides) to embellish this box.

carduse.jpg

I created this card using the funky flower brass charm, 7 Gypsies swirl clips, Hampton Art  "pair of eyes" stamp and, although hard to see, the eyes have small flat back jewels in them

dreamuse.jpg

here does our fascination and obsession with the alphabet come from?  I love the new letters that you see everywhere in the craft stores.  My friend, Angela, gave me the inspiration for this piece.  Just a little bit of Stam[in' Up papers, some stamping and scribbling, a "Dream" charm and 7 Gypsies clip just top this off- perfect for a wall decoration, book cover, altered altar, etc.

Embellishment  Brass Charms and Charm Sets (Words).
Remember, you can always add color using Staz-On or any other ink for non-porous surfaces.  Adhere brass charms with Crafters Ultimate Glue, Incredibly Tacky, Weldbond or any other fine adhesive.  You can also adhere them with wire, ribbon or your favorite cording.

The samples below are some of the brass charms on this page that have been given a coat of Ranger Black & White Enamel Accents.  I just love what it has done with the charms and, I always say that, brass charms create a unique embellishment look and this takes it one step further.
I think the butterfly would look good with some mica tile glued behind him, colored foil, colored paper, etc.
