Tim Holtz Distressables Alcohol Inks New Lights Colors

Tim Holtz & Ranger has come out with a new range of alcohol ink colors-March, 2009. We have the Lights selection below.

The new Lights colors alcohol inks are sold in individual 1/2 ounce size containers and the price is $3.39 each.

The alcohol inks are a dye based ink for multi non-porous surfaces like glass, plastic, tin, metal, etc.

Monica's Name Plates using Alcohol Inks

Monica McGinnis of Circleville, Ohio, created these name plates for her daughter's rooms at college. She will be finishing them with the room number also on the plate. You can create some really dramatic looks with simple things. Monica used a cardboard rice box for the backing, aluminum duct tape-readily available in most hardware store sectioins, 3 shades of alchol inks-wild plum, lettuce and stream and Tim Holtz Grunge alphabet. Both of Monica's pieces were done with the same 3 colors of alcohol ink but you wouldn't be able to tell otherwise- they look so different. The alphabet letters are under the tape and Monica burnished around them to make them pop. You could also put them in a frame for another stunning look.

OUT OF OFFICE- I will be out of the office the last week in July to attend the Craft & Hobby Trade Assoc show. I will resume shipping on Monday, August 2nd. However, it may be a little slow going since I will be having some family visiting and out of town again part of 2nd week in August.
