There really, initially, was no pun intended when I chose the name of this page as "Brass Charms -
Think Outside of the BOX" because it is about a box of sorts. The general foundation for the bird house shown is a wooden
bird house purchased at a craft store.
This birdhouse is covered with brass charms- the open work or filigree kind. I just thought
it was a great use of the charms and a completely different use for them- which I always love.
How can you use your charms to think out of the box? That is one of my favorite things to do is to
see something I like and ask myself how I can use it in rubber stamping, scrapbooking, etc. I guess it came from
my younger years when I would garage and yard sale alot. I was always looking for that precious find- a prize I could
display on something or use for a new purpose.
This particular bird house is called "Gilded Gingerbread" and was donated to the Habitat for Humanity's
annual bird house display and sale by Terry Twombly of Jack Conway & Co. Realtors.
I hope you enjoy it and the ideas that flood your imagination because of it.
