Crystals- particularly Swarovski Crystals, and particulary flat back crystals, seem to be popping
up everywhere as a great embellishment. You see them on cards, centers of flowers stamped on cards, great accents on
texture stamps to highlight a particular area and on polymer clay projects and just so much more. I like them a lot
myself and have used them on various projects so I thought you would too.
Genuine Swarovski Austrian Lead Crystals~ These are flat back crystals and measure 6.5 mm and 30 SS
(I have to find out what the SS means- if anyone knows, please email me). The color is crystal AB x7. That means
they shine real pretty! You would affix these with your favorite Articus Studio glue. You could also embed in
polymer clay. If you embed them in the clay, you want to make sure they are sitting flat in the clay so that they will
properly refract the light. Pkg. 6.

Mexico Shadow Box Project~I made a similar shadow box on the Artful Voyage to Mexico with Tim Holtz.
It was my first time using beeswax and I just loved the project start to finish so when I got home, I made a trip to Ikea
to get more frames and made this box with some of the trinkets I picked up in Mexico..with the shadow box in mind. The
Prima pearls are just above the key. This one was from a different set from the ones I have offered here.
My supplier did not have the set I used but they are all pretty no matter what set. The can isn't very good through
the glass so it really does not do it justice.
This is my favorite new stamp. I saw it at a convention and the dealer was out of it so I had to order it online-
the company is Lost Coast Rubber Stamps. She is a perfect way to utilize the crystal rhinestones on a project.
I added them under her left eye all the way across and she just dazzles. I used one of the black gemstones in the center
of her right eye. There is another example below showing it stamped on a round restaurant coaster and rhinestones added
in the same way.
