Blank Brass Necklace Base~ You will have fun creating many classic necklaces with this piece.
You can adhere almost anything your heart desires to create your mixed media jewelry. The sample I have pictured (this
was done on a half mooon shape) was made using Swarovski flat back crystals, washers, nuts, screen- typical hardware
store stuff for the most part. This piece measures approx. 3 5/8" across and approx. 13/16" at its widest point.
The scallop edge creates a soft look, even with the hardware. It is pre-drilled on both sides for your chain, ribbon,
beading, etc and also has been pre-punched in the center scallop to dangle something fun or classy on your necklace.
Sold individually or a pack of 5. Check out the samples at the bottom of the page!
Individual - $1.00

You can completely change the look of the jewelry base with alcohol inks. I used a number of different
colors on this piece and even some acrylic mixed in- I just kept adding until I got a look I liked.
Necklace Base Handy Tip~ To make your brass look shiny, take a green scrubby thing (shown at left) and
gently go over the brass in one direction. This will take off the imperfections and make it look almost like gold.
And....not all green scrubby thngs are equal. I bought some at Big Lots and they don't do a thing. Iit has
to be the more expensive brand name one. To keep it shiny, you may want to seal it before you add your embellishments.
If you have a pre-made chain with the clasp and all, just cut one of center links of chain in the middle of the chain
and attach it to the necklace base with a jump ring.
The sample below uses copper D-rings to extend the necklace out and have an ample opening for ribbon or
cord. It is also embellished with a key, rusted metal with letter "C" on it and a little diamond shaped chip, also a
sprocket bead over a metal piece. The D-rings were added with a brad.
The copper D-rings can be found on this page link along with the sprocket beads (glod cast star embellishments).

Silver Tone Dangle Clips~These are wonderful. I just used them on a simple project so I had to
let you guys in on them. You can use them on paper projects (like the one shown) or even on your microscope slides,
etc. The mouth of the clip opens pretty wide. You can also use the hook at the top as a bail and just push it
closed with some pliers and you can easily hang your creation from a necklace. For inspiration, hang a future project
in your craft room so you don't forget it. Pkg. 7 clips.

Round Brooch Pin Form~This comes in 2 pieces. The base is flat with prongs and it has a
pin back attached on the back. The top part has all the holes and you can use this part to add beads and things to this
and when completed you fit it over the base and secure the prongs to hold it in place. You can then use this piece
as a wearable piece of art or use it to decorate a project, removing the pin back and adhering with your favorite adhesive.
It measures approx. 1 1/4" in diameter. Pkg. 1

Don't forget the domino beads to make unique, artsy pins
Eyeglass Leash Connectors~ I have tried several different types of eyeglass connectors and like this
style the best by far. Eyeglass chains are great if you don't have to wear your glasses all the time. You can just take
them off and they hang neatly around your neck. You ALWAYS know where they are! Be creative, use beads, polymer
clay beads, shrink plastic dangles, or keep it simple with seed or bugle beads. Makes a wonderful gift. Don't
forget to make one for your sunglassess too. Pkg. of 4. (Be sure to read the tip below on connectors)

Eyeglass Leash Connector Tip~
Occasionally I have had my eyeglass leash connectors break- the other kind with the plastic strap.
Anyhow, I found this idea on another web site and will incorporate it into my future eyegleass leash connectors. Attach
a lobster claw clasp to the connector finding and then connect that to the beaded leash. That way if you do have a problem
with a connector, you can unsnap it and insert another. I loved this idea because I have several leashes sitting around
waiting to be re-strung. What a time saver!
Lobster Claw Clasp ~ Silver tone, nickel, 11 mm clasp. I intentionally added these below the eyeglass
connectors because of the great tip I have listed below for use with the eyeglass connectors. Pkg of 4.

Chandelier Earring Form~ Chandelier earrings are very popular right now and this set is a very ornate
design for your earring creations. It measures approx. 1" wide and approx. 5/8" high at its widest point. The
scroll design on each side almost represents a heart shape. It offers 3 rings to dangle your favorite earring design
from. (It is also shown upside down...oops!) BUT....I think it would also be great as an embellishment
addition on bags, boxes, purses, journals, etc. It has a flat back so can easily be adhered and use the rings to dangle
fibers or other embellishments from. Also..you can use it for a multi-strand necklace as a very decorative
strand attachment-hand your 3 strands from this...gorgeous from front or back! Try it on the front of a book with
3 strands of alpha letters...first strand "MY", 2nd Strand..."Favorite" , 3rd strand "People" -you get the idea.
It is very lightweight so as an earring or an embellishment, it won't droop. It comes in a bright silver finish.

/ or your charms and you are ready to go. Add them to a book or journal. Attach to a favorite picture. Adhere
your picture onto thin wood or book board, add a jump ring and attach to key ring. If you have a bunch of those laminate
samples from the hardware stores and looking for a way to use them, this is the perfect answer. They make a great keychain!

Flat, Round Brass Connector~ You can adhere your favorite little object to this connector and then use

You might have a small game component or some other item you would like to use in a piece of jewelry or artwork- this
is the way to make it useable. The connector measures approx. 3/4" from end to end and the center circle measurs approx.
almost 5/8 in diameter. Pkg. 10

Siver Tone Finish Clip Loop~ What an innovative idea. You use these clips on your donut pendants
whether they are stone, resin or polymer clay, etc. Then you can easily hang your pendant from chain, ribbon, cording,
etc. The clip measures 26 x 20mm or approx. 1" high and approx. 3/4" wide. Pkg. 1.
$1.29
Decorative Magnetic Clasp~This clasp has a fancy braided rope and knob design on it in an
antique silver finish. The picture shows the clasp together- they would not stay apart to show them apart on the scanner-kept
popping back together- good magnet in them. They measure 8 mm and the diameter measures approx. 1/4". The finish
is a little darker than the scan shows- more antique looking-almost blackish. Use on your bracelets, necklaces, etc.-great
if you have a hard time using traditional clasps to keep your jewelry together. Pkg of 4 clasps.

| Leaf Bail Sample on Shrink Plastic |
Denise Landa, a local artist from Cincinnati, Ohio, designed this beautiful necklace using the brass necklace
base. Denise teaches at stores and conventions in and around Ohio and was kind enough to send us a picture of her work.
I love the selection of embellishments she used. My favorites are the mask, copper numbers and the filigree circles
dangling on each side.
I don't stock any serling silver findings due to the fact that, for some reason, sterling silver seems to
tarnish very quickly in my home. Not sure why, maybe the climate, maybe because we have a partial dirt basement and
holds moisture. I would be polishing st. silver all the time! I try to stock silver tone items that have a nice
quality, upscale finish on them instead plus the added bonus of the cost.
I use the findings I stock on most of my jewelry pieces and have had good results and many compliments.
