|Robert Dancik Sample with Create Recklessly with Concrete
Create Recklessly with Concrete- A new product created in partnership with renowned mixed media artist,
Robert Dancik. Many of you may have taken a class with Robert- he teaches all over and has a great book out too.
This concrete is an innovative and simple method for making truly unique, one-of-a-kind jewelry.
This specially formulated powder creates a final product that is lighter than stone, resin or metal.
concrete is easy to use- just add water and it sets in minutes and cures in about an hour. This artists concrete is
versatile and strong, pour it, mold it, tint it and embed with it (my favorite part). You can use virtually anything
to embed in the concrete.
There are no toxic odors and the pigments are non-toxic. The
concrete itself is a powder so it is advisable to wear a particle mask or something similar.
Create Recklessly with Concrete~ This is the concrete portion. It is all
you need to make jewelry pieces, however, the pigment is available in several colors should you decide to color this concrete.
This is a generous jar of concrete- 8 oz. I was surprised how big it was, I didn't think about that. To give you
a feel for the size it measures approx 3 1/2 inches in diameter across the top of the jar and it measures approx. 2 5/8" high
with cap on. The basic concrete recipe is 1 tbsp concrete, 1/2 tsp cool tap water- that is it! Should you decide
to use pigment, it recommends 1/16 tsp. If you want to embed items into the concrete- have them at hand, they
recommend putting them in within 5 minutes so you get a good bond. I just got this in, so don't have a sample of mine
to show at the moment- hopefully later this week.
1 Jar, 8 0z, sold per jar.
Create Recklessly Pigment-Yellow~I want to emphasize- this is not the concrete
it is only the color the concrete. As this is so new, I have not had a chance to experiment with the colors. I
did order the yellow as the extra bottle to sample. This is a 1 oz jar and to color the concrete with the recipe that
is in the description of the concrete above, using those quantities you add 1/16 tsp of the pigment, so 1 oz, should go a
1 oz jar
Create Recklessly Pigment-Terra Cotta~This
is the pigment used to color the concrete which is sold separately. You use 1/16 tsp of concrete to 1 tbsp of concrete.
This comes in a 1 oz. jar.
Create Recklessly Pigment-Sandstone~This is the pigment used to color the concrete,
which is sold separately. It takes 1/16 tsp of pigment to color 1 tbsp of concrete. It comes in a 1 oz jar.
